Recalibrate Mode

The accuracy of your printer will drift over time due to wear and tear, changing environmental conditions, and many other factors. Recalibrate Mode allows you to recalibrate your system to ensure the most accurate and consistent color. You should recalibrate your mode at least every 2 weeks, every time you do maintenance or replace inks, or when you notice color drifts.

NOTE: Each time you recalibrate a mode the previous calibration data will be lost and replaced with the new data.

You can access Recalibrate Mode by clicking the Recalibrate Mode button on the toolbar or by going to the Setup Menu and selecting Recalibrate.

To recalibrate your Mode:

  • Click the Recalibrate Mode button on the toolbar. This opens the Recalibrate Mode dialog.
  • Select the mode you want to recalibrate from the drop down menu.
  • Print your Calibration Swatch by clicking the Print button.
  • Once the swatch is printed and dried, Read the Calibration Swatch by placing the swatch in your reader and clicking the Read button. You will need a reading device for this step.
  • After the swatch is read, click the Build Linearization button. This opens the Linearization dialog. From here, you can view your current measurements and *modify your settings.
  • When you are done, click the Build button.
  • Click OK.
  •

*Because modifying your color settings has wide-ranging effects on your output, it is strongly recommended that you not modify your settings manually. Clicking Build from the Linearization dialog will automatically set your color settings to the optimal range.
